The US COPD Coalition (USCC) is pleased to welcome the Southern Delaware COPD Coalition as our newest member organization.

The Southern Delaware COPD Coalition is a 501(c)(3) IRS charitable organization whose mission is to improve the health and overall well-being of Delaware residents living with COPD by addressing patient-specific barriers to care and eliminating health disparities to ensure access to quality care for all, including the un- and under-insured.

“We are excited to join forces with the US COPD Coalition”, said chief executive officer Sara Tibbett-Wright, DBA, MSM-HCA, RRT.  “As part of a larger, unified group, we hope to gain the much-needed support that will help generate change to positively impact the quality of healthcare for people with COPD. We hope to be the voice – to advocate for health equity, access, improved quality and outcomes, and to eliminate health disparities for those living with COPD.”

In fulfilling its mission, the Southern Delaware COPD Coalition strives to address any prohibitive sociodemographic factors and/or barriers to quality health care for people living with COPD in Delaware, to include education, transportation, care coordination, utility assistance, housing assistance, medication affordability, patient/caregiver engagement and nutrition assistance.

“The US COPD Coalition is delighted to have the Southern Delaware coalition join USCC”, said USCC Executive Director Keith Siegel, MBA, RRT, CPFT, FAARC. “If we are going to have a truly positive impact on individuals living with chronic lung disease, we need local coalitions like Southern Delaware to be working on the front lines.  USCC is looking forward to working with this wonderful organization.”
