The US COPD Coalition (USCC) is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has approved Renown Health, Nevada’s largest locally governed not-for-profit healthcare network, as a voting member of the Coalition. Based in Reno, Renown Health has a service area of over 100,000 square miles comprised of 17 county regions in northern Nevada, Lake Tahoe, and northeast California.
Among its many services aimed at improving the health of the communities it serves, Renown Health has a Joint Commission accredited COPD program whose vision is to improve the quality of life for their patients while providing COPD education and preventing hospital admissions and readmissions.
“As a national health leader, Renown believes in working to make a genuine difference in the health and well-being of the people and communities we serve”, say Amber Beck, RRT, AE-C, COPD Navigator for Renown Health. “We are excited to join the US COPD Coalition and continue to ‘Fight the Good Fight’ for lung health.”
“The US COPD Coalition is delighted to welcome Renown Health as a member”, says USCC Executive Director Keith Siegel, MBA, RRT, CPFT, FAARC. “We see tremendous value in having local and regional healthcare networks join the Coalition and adding their voice and expertise to the overall COPD conversation. We look forward to working with them.”
