While the burden of COPD and other chronic health conditions is severe throughout the country, patients are particularly vulnerable in rural settings due in part to lack of access to pulmonologists and other specialties. The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) is a national nonprofit membership organization that is working to lessen that burden. The NRHA’s Rural Health Policy Institute will be holding a rural advocacy conference from February 5th – February 7th at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC.
Conference participants will be able to:
- Hear from top members of the Trump Administration and Congress on their plans to make health care work in rural America;
- Speak directly with your Congressional delegation on Capitol Hill and educate them on real issues that affect rural health facilities;
- Attend an exclusive networking reception with colleagues and special guests at the beautiful U.S. Botanical Gardens
- Participate in NRHA’s Rural Health Disparities Summit Feb. 7 and gain the tools to overcome significant challenges within your community.
Details about the conference can be found here: NRHA Rural Health Policy Institute Conference.
The NRHA’s mission is “to provide leadership on rural health issues through advocacy, communications, education and research”.
