An Update from APTA!

Hello USCC Membership!
U.S. COPD Coalition Board Member Ellen Hillegass wanted to share a recent article published in the June Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Journal in the Official Guidelines from the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Section titled, “Supplemental Oxygen Utilization during Physical Therapy Intervention.” This article has been a project four years in the making with the intention to make physical therapists more aware and competent concerning the use of oxygen with COPD patients. So, I encourage you to read the article to get an update on what APTA and physical therapists are doing for the COPD community!

I appreciate Ellen letting the USCC know about this update! If your organization has an update, please don’t hesitate to contact Becca, rrudolph@uscopdcoalition.org, who can share it with the community.
