We are excited to announce that the NHLBI has released the first draft of the COPD National Action Plan for public comment! The COPD National Action Plan will provide the framework for a coordinated federal, state and public response to COPD. For years, U.S. COPD Coalition members have advocated for the creation of a COPD National Action Plan and now your voices are needed to ensure the Plan reflects the needs of all those affected by COPD and the partners that can play a role in the solutions.
We urge you to get involved and provide comments to NHLBI and to encourage others to do so as well. We will be dedicating the majority of our Virtual Member Meeting to learning more about the Plan and to answer questions about how to get involved. More information will be sent out in the coming days on this webinar but we hope that you will be able to join in and that you will encourage your colleagues to engage in this once in a lifetime opportunity to shape the blueprint for a national response to COPD in the years to come.
Thank you for all that you do for the community and please don’t hesitate to reach out to Jamie Sullivan at jsullivan@uscopdcoalition.org with any questions about the National Action Plan and the public comment period.
