Did you know that the National Institutes for Health (NIH) has a website designed especially for patients and their families? MedlinePlus, designed by the NIH’s National Library of Medicine, “brings you information about diseases, conditions, and wellness issues in language you can understand…You can use MedlinePlus to learn about the latest treatments, look up information on a drug or supplement, find out the meanings of words, or view medical videos or illustrations. You can also get links to the latest medical research on your topic or find out about clinical trials on a disease or condition.“

One of the many useful topics you can find on MedlinePlue is a page called COPD – What to Ask Your Doctor, where you will find many useful tips on getting the most out of your doctor’s visit if you have COPD.
