On March 19, 2018, the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) brought together experts for COPD and Rural Health: A Dialogue on the National Action Plan to discuss the challenges faced by COPD patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals in rural America, along with the opportunities and resources available as they relate to the COPD National Action Plan.

According to the NHLBI, “The discussions held and input received as part of the COPD & Rural Health meeting will help guide the NHLBI, the COPD community, and other stakeholders in exploring opportunities to decrease the burden of COPD.” If you were unable to view the COPD and Rural Health Summit live, you can view the videocast online. NHLBI has also made the PowerPoint presentations available.
